J.H. Schryer

J. H. Schryer is the nom de plume of Helen Fry and James Hamilton. Helen Fry is an historian of World War II and an expert on Anglo-Jewish history; her book Freuds’ War describes the dramatic escape of Sigmund Freud and his family from Vienna in 1938. James Hamilton has worked in design, sales and marketing, and has had a life-long interest in history and writing. They both live in London.

Jane McAdam Freud, daughter of Lucien Freud, has been working on a sculpture project ‘Stone Speak’. It is designed to capture the special writing relationship of J.H. Schryer. The two authors have sat for the sculptor. A launch & public showing is scheduled at: The Freud Museum, London - Thursday 15th April at 6pm - 9pm
An official unveiling with a celebrity is planned for 27th May at Kenwood House, London.
