Sirin Phathanothai

Today Sirin lives between Beijing, Bangkok and Paris. Since 1980 she has acted as an intermediary between Chinese and US interests, helping to open up the Chinese market economy. She is a consultant on China to various European corporate banks as well as a consultant to Chinese state enterprises. Indeed she was the person who welcomed Putin to Beijing during the Olympic Games. GROWING UP IN THE DRAGONS DEN is a sequel to her internationally acclaimed memoir Dragon's Pearl, published in 1994 by Simon & Schuster.
