Margaret Hickey

Margaret Hickey is a journalist and food writer. Her book Food in Ireland was published by Headline.
Margaret has worked for Country Living Magazine where she was Deputy Editor and then later Food & Drink Editor. She was elected to the committee of the UK Guild of Food Writers and has also won a Glenfiddich Award for Visual Content.

Margaret is now a freelance writer of food, travel and general articles for Irish and British newspapers and magazines. She has been treasurer of the Irish Food Writers’ Guild for the last three years, and writes a monthly wine column in Business Plus magazine.

Margaret's is currently writing a history of food in Ireland.
